02Data processed by products we manufacture

The robotic mowers, applications, and management platforms we design and build may collect or process data when operated by our clients and their end users. Depending on the configuration, this can include:

• Device & telemetry data — model, serial, firmware, battery, status, and diagnostics.
• Location & mapping data — GPS/RTK positioning and lawn maps used for navigation and coverage.
• Camera & sensor data — imagery and signals used for obstacle detection and AI vision navigation.
• App account data — account, settings, and usage information within companion apps or platforms.

03Our role: controller vs. processor

For our own Site and business relationships, Alt Verse acts as the controller of personal information. When we build or host products and platforms on behalf of a brand client, we typically act as a processor (service provider), handling end-user data only on that client’s instructions and under our agreement with them. In those cases, the client’s own privacy policy governs the end-user relationship.

• To respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and manage ODM/OEM projects.
• To design, manufacture, test, support, and improve products and platforms.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
• To process and manufacture per client instructions where we act as a processor.
• To comply with legal, tax, customs, and accounting obligations.

05How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed:

• Brand clients — where we process data on their behalf for their branded products.
• Suppliers & manufacturing partners — component vendors, assembly, logistics, and warehousing partners, under confidentiality obligations.
• Service providers — hosting, communications, and IT vendors that process data on our behalf.
• Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

06Confidentiality & intellectual property

As an ODM, we routinely handle confidential client information — designs, specifications, branding, and roadmaps. We treat this information as confidential under our agreements and apply access controls and need-to-know handling. We build for our clients and do not use a client’s confidential designs to compete with them.

07International data transfers

We operate internationally, and our manufacturing involves facilities and partners outside the United States, including in China. Information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

08Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including managing projects, supporting products, and meeting legal, warranty, tax, and accounting obligations. Data processed on behalf of clients is retained according to our agreements with them, then deleted or returned.

09Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10Your privacy rights & California (CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

If your information was processed by a branded product, please contact the brand that sold it; we will support that client’s response as their processor. To exercise rights regarding information we control, contact us using the details below.

11Children’s privacy

Our Site and B2B services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
